Two munchkins,
My first 17,
Dreaming her next Big dream,
My second, he’s almost 11,
Brawn of a 21 year old,
Mastering his Rubik,
It’s been a wonderful journey thus far,
I remember all the Good times,
The laughter,
Here,
Abroad,
But I also remember the growing times,
The tears,
The sadness,
Life, as I’ve known it as a mum,
Requires,
Sacrifice,
Love,
Tough love,
And letting go…
And I’ve found it’s like a rubber band,
It always bounces back,
This position,
‘Mom’
It’s never done,
From early mornings,
To late nights,
But there’s always rewards,
That flower picked from the garden for my hair,
That warm hug that fills my heart,
Son kissed cheeks,
He reminds me that these will be fewer to come by,
As times move on,
Well, this is the road, this position, once chosen,
It’s for a lifetime,
Renumeration non negotiable,
No resignation acceptable,
There’s no turning back this clock,
All life lessons are right here,
I’ve loved,
I’ve Embraced,
I’ve Discovered
I’ve Learnt,
I’ve Enjoyed
I’m grateful
❤️❤️Thank you, My Munchkins
