This last week, has once again been eventful.

From a full corporate plate to playing in the creative space, it’s always an Adventure.

If you’re following my pages, on Facebook, Instagram and my website, you know the incredible story of Wendy already.

Here’s a quick synopsis if you’ve missed it. Wendy celebrated her 16th Birthday last week, and I was given the incredible honour to write a poem for her, entitled, I‘m Wendy.

Wendy is part of Helping those in need, a charitable home in East London.

So I thought we could make Wendy‘s Birthday even more special, so I called my friends at the Exotic Marigold Boutique and Cut n‘ Edge Trading …the result, magnificent gifts and treats for Wendy.

My humble gratitude to you both, and to Dierde Freeman, who was the catalyst behind it. Perhaps, in these times I reminded of Leo Buscaglia. I was introduced to his work, by an old friend, almost two decades ago, Frikkie. Leo‘s books are introspective and delightful, here’s one of his quotes:

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

To Wendy, you have this treasure of Life ahead of you now, live it to the fullest!

To top of this humbling week, our first virtual poetry morning, a resounding success on all counts. Sumiran Thapa, from Pune India, joined our poetry circle, and shared delighted us with his powerful poetry recitals, a true treasure and inspiration. I’m in gratitude for his time, energy and efforts.

I understood that it takes a different type of energy, to connect virtually, there’s so much more to pay attention to, but it’s a ride, and I’m looking forward to the next one!

Have a wonderful week, everyone, stay safe and take care.

❤️
