It’s been a year this week since #pralenepoetry began.
In this week’s blog, I’d like to reflect, on the year that was, and of what is to come.
As I start, I place a link here of my inspiration, this week. It’s been an anchor, the past days, for now and the future, it’s from Gibran.
My deep gratitude to Rhea, for showing me this poem once again.
“Do Not Love Half Lovers” – Khalil Gibran (Powerful Life Poetry)
I cast my mind back to the 1st of April 2021, to the launch of my poetry website. It was intended as a simple cup of coffee amongst my closest. Sure, purest intention was definitely granted, but it was the catalyst for much, in the year that ensued.
On that beautiful, sunny almost perfect day, I had no idea about future poetry mornings, using the spoken word in service of others, as Oprah, often speaks about, and our first poetry exhibition.
There’s been a growing following, an organic following, of #pralenepoetry as Bonnie, calls it. Fans from around the country and around the globe. Funny true story, I had a meeting recently with my Chinese colleagues, let me be clear, a work meeting…they however, wanted to meet me, the poet…the corporate me, was out of the window 😂 A deeply humbling, yet rewarding experience 🙏🏼 in deep gratitude, Qingmei and team.
The team at Current Consulting, have been so supportive, so amazing! Thanks guys and I’m so looking forward to our new colour palette, on our website, social media and our logo design.
There’s been so many special moments to remember, so many people to be in complete gratitude to that have made this poetic, creative journey possible. I’m hoping to see many of them, at our anniversary coffee morning this coming Friday, special treats are included 😉 I would like to extend a special ‘Thanks’ to June Stagler…I wish you all the best with your new entrepreneurial journey, the stars are aligned, my friend, it’s your time now ❤️
On a personal note, all I can say is that I’ve taken Gibran’s poem to heart, in every sphere of my life and I’m severely ‘unapologetic’ (yes, this is my word for 2022) about it.
I must say, it’s brought a new sense of what was, what is and what is to come…it was a fabulous year for a fledgling brand, like pralenepoetry, and now we stand on a cusp of embracing new adventures.
I can’t wait to share this with you, as the months of 2022, gather momentum, the first quarter almost done, dusted.
We’ve been hard at work, in the background, and will start to reap some of the ‘fruit’ of our poetic labour soon.
Thanks to everyone of you, you all know who you are, for standing by me, supporting me, pushing me to my limits, sometimes beyond 🙏🏼
So here’s to another year, of poetry, of love, of sharing, of friends, old and new.
To Mamta, I’m going to miss you this week, my dear friend, all the best and see you soon 🥂
