First, a surprise phone call from one of my closest friends from Germany, let’s call her ‚M‘ for the purpose of the blog. ‚M’ and I have known each other for almost two decades now, she was at the virtual part of the poetry launch (see cover photo)

She admitted that she was absolutely inspired by my journey, my words, and all that has flowed since…

She had sat up writing her own poetry in German, almost 30 poems, since Easter Saturday…Wow, I was blown away…just by her message, her heart-felt experiences, and quite honestly, her healing.

I think we both admitted it, words, written, reflected, bring healing, catharsis, and peace.

I think I felt even more humble, but yes, quite speechless. My reflections moved to an excerpt from “Tuesday’s with Morrie“… in a nutshell, a story about the narrator, a student of, Morrie, who is dying…the visits to Morrie are quite riveting, a must-read…

Anyway, back to the moral of my conversation,

The first wave says, ‚You don’t understand! We’re all going to crash! All of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn‘t it terrible?

The second wave says, ˋNo, you don’t understand, You’re not a wave, you’re part of the ocean.“

We’re all connected ‚M’, here to help, support, and motivate each other, always❤️ Thank You for the amazing years of friendship, ‚M‘.

From one surprise to another, one of my fellow BWA colleagues connected me to another one, a fellow Circle of Champions member. She was looking for a special gift for her 13-year-old granddaughter residing in Johannesburg.

Once again, my passion for words was tested, and Lulibo‘s 13th was born.

My deepest gratitude to Pinky, I wish Lulibo a wonderful Birthday 🥳.

A special shout out to the BWA chairperson, Cherrie, at Pollock’s for creating magnificence on canvas, amazing stuff!

There’s a saying, it happens in three‘s…

Tayla Braaf, she’s a young, vibrant, dynamic young woman, whom I’ve had the pleasure to know the past year or so, she’s inspired me to write in so many ways.

She designed an emblem for my writing, for future use in my poems, my own signature in a way, how special is that. Thank you, thank you, Tayla 🤗 Just so you all out there know Tayla‘s specialness … Crystal Child

A Super week wish for you all,

❤️ Pralene
