Loadshedding brings me a host of emotions but tonight it’s a haven for peace, quietness, and contemplation.
I’ve taken a little break from writing the last weeks. It’s been a combination of harsh life lessons, letting go, and as always receiving.
My recent experiences have brought me much closer to self, a much-needed “wake-up call‘”. As I’ve indicated a couple of weeks ago, what’s really important and moreover who is really vital as my life path unfolds. I must say, I was sad initially about the decisions I took, I wondered if it was the correct course of action, so to speak, but I realized quickly, that I had trusted my “gut”. And as you all know, this is always RIGHT. In retrospect, a humbling and blissful life experience actually.
My experiences taught me that I’ll be learning about this life, and its complexity, its twists and turns, until the end. Moreover, I’ve learned once again “when one door closes, another opens.”
Maybe, in this case, a few doors open…
Stay tuned to future blogs …
Speaking of doors opening, this last Tuesday, the Border-Kei Chamber of Business, Women’s Desk hosted me as their first guest speaker… a wonderful privilege and I enjoyed every minute in the company of some powerful women in East London. Thank you BKCOB, Bonnie, Lizelle, Maria, and everyone who attended! I’m so looking forward to this new initiative!
I also had the opportunity to introduce a fledgling entrepreneur at the event, June Stagler of Home Fairies… If you live in East London and the surrounds, June is a master all-round baker, even experimenting with lactose and gluten-free treats just for me ❤️ but she will for you too ❤️
The Thursday before Easter. heralded a blessed culmination to one of our pralenepoetry projects, at Guardians for Hope.
I’m still in awe of the peaceful, little sanctuary, now filled with teddy bears that will bring much healing energy to Elaine‘s babies. My heartfelt thanks to Elaine, Bonnie, my benefactors, from near and far, as well as Maria and Yolanda who devoted their morning, spending their time and energy at the new centre and with these special babies!
We could have not asked for a better way to begin the Easter weekend!
As all Easter festivities have now passed and all Easter bunnies have found home 😉 I can truly say, there were truly special moments spent with my family and my tribe.
These special groups of people, they know exactly who they are, are always there for me through thick and thin…
This Easter, they descended, from around the proverbial “corner” to as far afield as Botswana bringing much love, warmth and “bunny glitter” to my Easter table.
Fun, Fun indeed!
As this short week is already underway, I’m looking forward to this weekend… I’m sure you’re too.
A wonderful short week to you all.
