Dear Poetry Lovers
The first quarter of 2021 is almost over, and the months seemed to have reeled past so quickly.
By now, you’ve read a little about me, and this immense passion I have for the written word, I honor them liked little treats, like wrapped vintage Bonbons.
Remember Bonbons, the French confectionery with nougat, caramel, and sometimes marzipan…how sweet treats and our definition of the ‘sweet tooth’ have transformed over the years… ooohhh, perhaps a future poetry idea, Bonbons 😊
Speaking of all things sweet, it’s almost Easter time, so I hope you’ve all stocked up on those decadent Easter treats by now.
And if you have not yet, and you’re an ‘East Londoner’, a visit to Estie’s Ginger & Co is a must. I have tasted the most divine hot cross buns, laced with chocolate and orange zest, a true new legend, I’d say.
But wherever you may be, this time of year is special, and sweet treats spark nostalgic notes of cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, and nutmeg are everywhere to be found. Enjoy!
Easter seems really different since 2020, I had such fun reminiscing and writing about this special holiday last year.
I loved continuing my journey of words last year during Lockdown, the quiet time served as the perfect canvas, as words spilled onto the page, and the world around us changed daily.
This year as Easter approaches, we are only a little freer to express ourselves during this holy time, all safety protocols observed, of course.
Watch this space next week for my wave of reflective poems that I may conjure up, over the next few days.
Blog writing is a new concept for me, but I’m determined to write at least once a week and keep up with all of you out there.
My thanks and gratitude to all my family and my dear friends ( you all know who you are…), it’s been an amazing journey thus far, and here’s to the next…!
A special ‘shout out’ to Bonnie and the power team Current Consulting you guys Rock 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻thanks for making my dream real!
I hope that you enjoy this writing sojourn with me, as I quite relish every poem I write.
I wish you all a safe and happy time over Easter 🐣
❤️
