Dear Poetry Lovers,

This was the weekend of special times with special folks.

Saturday morning kicked off with the first of ‘Poetry Morning with Friends’, an inaugural glimpse of more!

It was the right time to launch my journal, in cork, and a matching pen in bamboo for all eco enthusiasts out there. The logo I’ve been speaking about in recent weeks looks beautiful, all thanks to Tayla Braaf.

Watch this space and FB/Insta, as Cherrie Lawlor @ Pollocks works her magic in the coming weeks.

Merchandising aside, it was all about peace, stillness, inspiration, and reflecting on beauty in words with friends. In other words, as Cherrie coined the morning, ‘Food for the Soul’.

My ultimate highlight was the unexpected visit of Elmarie Botha and Trishara’s reading of the ‘Fudge’ poem. Elmarie was so excited to share her life’s journey with ‘strangers’, unbelievable. A true hero, that’s conquered much in life.

Sure, I had my turn too, as we found ourselves gulping down the ever-important morning brew, I reflected on my life’s journey as a Mum, in ‘I am a Mom’.

I’d say the poem says it all!

As Sunday dawned, I woke up to two munchkins and Mother’s Day treats. The best, my eldest Trishara’s words, ‘Mother’s Day’ written on behalf of herself and Nirvaan. Overwhelming to say the least, love you guys ❤️ Yes, as Trishara, reflects, I do give ‘lectures’ and I love dishing out chores! Note to self, agile ‘lectures’ in the future!

Nirvaan had conjured up a Mother’s Day Coupon Book, this includes ‘One Big Hug’ and ‘Doing the dishes’ amongst others, I’ll be sure to overuse my coupons, daily!

I hope all of you mums out there had An Amazing Mother’s Day!

A blessed week to you all, until we meet again.

❤️
