Wherever you are today,

We hope that you are at peace,

Wherever you are today,

We pray that you feel no more pain,

The last days since your passing,

Have lit many fires in the country you left behind, The little fires around, Have erupted, Run ablaze, Many of your county folk are on the streets, Now, their voices heard, Cos’ they know, you don’t have yours anymore, They want freedom, Justice, Fairness for all,

It’s almost as if you had to die,

So that so many others could live,

Live to their heart’s content,

And the fight is not over yet,

But everybody knows,

By saying ‘I can’t breathe’,

You have given everyone the right to say, I am here, I will fight, Until I’m free, I am breathing, I am breathing, I am breathing.
