Estie and I met a couple of years ago, she was still running her business from her home. Over the years Estie’s business has grown from strength to strength. I wrote this poem whilst sitting having a delicious cup of coffee at Ginger & Co recently, watching Estie in her kitchen, ‘casting her spells’.
A new space reminiscent of humble beginnings,
Many a early morning,
Magic spells cast in Estie’s kitchen,
Yes, her best friends,
Flour, Butter, and Sugar,
All in her company,
Creating,
Delicious morsels of wonder,
And Delight,
For our senses,
For our Souls,
And,
The coffee,
The best in town,
Do come by,
You’ll be sure to be greeted by,
Smiles,
And,
Squeals of laughter,
It’s,
A little getaway from the daily grind,
A space to just breathe,
Just be,
A spot to celebrate,
All that life offers,
Accompanied by delicious, irresistible decadence
