It’s week 2, for 2022 at least for pralenepoetry, and we’re already in the midst of adventures 😊
This week, I had the humble pleasure of meeting Lindeka. She’s a legal secretary living and working in East London. Moreover, she’s a matriarch of her family, three beautiful daughters, and grandchildren. Lindeka has been committed to growing and learning her entire life, along with nurturing her innate passion for all things, ‘green’.
I was extremely humbled to pen a poem, as a reflection of her life thus far and her dreams still to come. I wish Lindeka all the very best in all her current and future life goals, ‘Green at Heart’ is the poem, in celebration of her life and love as winds of time, bring anew.
My humble gratitude to Bonnie Currin, one of Lindeka’s mentors 💛 for the opportunity, awesome stuff B!
As we all are settling back into routines, work, home, school, university…and all other life situations… my wish is still, that despite the times, we are in, we do not forget ‘self’ or ‘me’…the most important ingredient 💜
In my perspective, life right now has served us the perfect canvas, to become silent, to go within, to rediscover, to reconnect, to dream, to create. There is power in rediscovering the self…the very essence of you.
In December last year, I wrote an ode to ‘Power’ and had the pleasure of reciting it to my friends and colleagues at the Integral Hub at their Annual Global Open Space. My deepest gratitude to Silvia Hagen from Switzerland, who always supports and inspires my creative journey, and Bernard Ludwig from Germany for your ever-felt presence and energy even from so far away.
Here’s to another week, another year of journeys, forward and upward!
I wish you all a warm, blessed week, wherever you are in the world.
❤️
