My Lucky number,

The alarm goes off and the day begins,

Slow and steady,

Brings back memories of school holidays, Lazy, warm days, Comfort food on the stove, Slowly bubbling away, The fragrance of Thyme and Rosemary, Wafting through my nostrils, The feeling of belonging, The feeling of home, Outside the air gets crisper every morning, I trade slip-slops for warm woolly socks, Linen dresses for comfy lounge clothes, Feels strange still, To be home every day, Yet somehow, There’s comfort, There’s truce, There’s simplicity, There’s space to just be.
