It’s been a while since our last ‘virtual time’ together.

There have been so many little adventures that #pralenepoetry has been a part of in the last while.
Being Women’s Month, it’s been busy and rewarding, both.

My highlight in the month of August was receiving the confirmation that one of our poems will be featured in a short film, Nelson.

Nelson tells a poignant story of loss, love, reconciliation, of spirit.
I still remember the humble request a few months ago… it seemed a bit surreal.
I include the full poem here, called, ‘Today I marry’

My heartfelt gratitude to Babsi Mcinga, the director and executive producer of ‘Nelson’… I wish you all the best, Babsi, in this, your directorial debut. I know there are many more powerful stories that you want to still bring to the world from the South African continent.

So here’s a Spring ‘Hello’ to New Beginnings, Babsi, all the best as you launch this new movie along with your beautiful cast.

As Spring dawns, I cannot help but glance back to a wonderful month of opportunity, reconnecting with old friends, and meeting new people, both young and old.

Here’s to a Colourful Spring Season to all of you out there, see you soon.

❤️
