I’m extremely happy to be back writing poems and blogging again.

I took a short hiatus, to reflect, recharge and rest.

Rest did take centre stage the last weeks. I recall beautiful days in my garden, sipping my favorite brews, as birds musically chirped in the distance. I stood in wonder on my porch and watched the rain caress my bromeliads. Yes, these very simple wonders of life.

I can honestly admit I did not go mall hopping, or to the shops in the Crazy Season, even for groceries. The digital world does bring almost anything to the doorstep these days.

Besides the persistent visitor of Covid-19, still, in the current guise of Omnicron, still visiting, I consciously reflected that I was really in no conscious energy on any level, mind, body, or spirit to even pack a suitcase, even an overnight one!

So, like so many people around us, and many around the world, I rang in 2022 with my closest and dearest, a most quiet and peaceful 2022. Absolutely will be repeated ❤️

Still, from time to time, I was drawn to write. This week I share my first poem, 2022, with you all.

A special “shout out” to Qingmei, my dear friend and colleague from Beijing, China, who has been following my blog closely from afar. Qingmei, I’m back now… thanks so much, for the opportunity to write the poem for our mutual colleague last week.

All the best for the event this week!

Yes, Friends, the poems seem to be “growing legs” and reaching far and wide… I’m delighted!

On a personal Mommy note, whilst Nirvaan wades into Grade 6, my eldest Trishara starts Matric today! Mummy loves you both, and yes, I’m stocking up on Gin, to get me through this one 😉…❤️❤️

On the Pralene Poetry front, a few new delights await all poetry lovers out there this year. Bonnie & the Team @ Current Consulting and I are co-creating some new offerings. Can’t wait to share soon!

I wish you all, a very blessed, successful and safe 2022!

❤️
