Another wonderful week of life experiences, and for those who know me well, another week of “connecting the dots”

I could have never anticipated that in some way, my corporate life and creative life will ever collide, but I am, these days completely bowled over, by the blessings I have.

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to share and record one of my poems dedicated to a car, yes, you have read right, a car.

I‘d written some musings, as I usually do, a while ago, intended as a self-reflection and narrative to guide my actions. I had no idea it would translate into a Poem for the Corporate sphere.

I hope I’m able to share it with you in a while, so watch this space, in the next couple of weeks.

I’ve been meeting other creatives, too, in the last while, other poets, photographers, artists, who dedicate themselves to their creative energy in this space and time reality.

I’m bowled over by Sumiran Thapa, a poet, residing in Pune, India. His sense of the world, Is deep, his words are simple, yet powerful and he is a true poetic talent to the world. One of my favorite poems, from Sumiran:

“People who feel like sunshine,

Have walked More in the rain,

Than basked in the sun”

Sumiran will be my first guest, at my next “Poetry Morning”, for now, these sessions will be online, due to our current Covid-19 Lockdown regulations. I’m really looking forward to introducing Sumiran to our creative community and listening to the powerful poetry of Sumiran with you.

As I begin the week, my poem for this week, Dear Covid-19, it’s a poem, I wrote, as South Africa was entering its first wave of the pandemic. I find its relevance still, as we’re in the midst of the third wave.

I wish you all a happy and safe week ahead.

❤️
