This past weekend brought tears of joy to many creatives living and working in East London, even from some from a land far away.

You guessed right, I’m speaking about the inaugural Joy of Books festival held this past weekend.
Writers, poets, performers, publishers and reading enthusiasts were treated to a wonderful array of interactive theatre, local book launches, book and poetry readings.

We did acknowledge that as a creative community it’s imperative to stay relevant, stay connected and most importantly continue in the creative spirit we all have.

Pralenepoetry has the chance to engage with some old but many new faces that now also enjoy our poetic musings. A huge thank you to the organizers of the Joy of Books festival, especially Jen Moorcroft.

I had the lucky chance to close the festival on both days, with my special poem, “Books, books, books“, written especially for the event.

Soon thee will be many more creative and literary tales to tell…

Until then, have a productive, fulfilled week.

❤️
