The week that was…

The week that was! I’ve tried to capture it in some words. I think there may be more to come, words, I mean, but for now, here’s my most‚ crude‘ poetic reflection to date, I’m not able to digest as yet.

 

I just wish that we all can recover, rebuild and restore where we can, how we can when we can.

 

I’m more focused now, perhaps more aware, of the reality that surrounds my ‚normal‘ existence every day.

I can really only reflect on myself as a human being living and breathing in South Africa, and the part I can play in transforming the spaces that I am able to. More about this in the weeks to come.

 

In the midst, of all of this, little special celebrations are always possible. This week, my youngest Nirvaan will turn 11. He was so looking for to being back at school and playing with his friends, perhaps soccer or Hockey on the field, but alas, it’s home school, and a day with family, as best as we can, during this time.

 

I’m reminded of a time, a few years ago, he was crazy about soccer, he still is. Soccer Saturdays is dedicated to my Nirvaan.
